A Blank Canvas

A blank Canvas sits, pure and bright,
A world of dreams in soft white light.
In every brushstroke, love takes flight,
Transforming thoughts to color and sight.

The endless space, a place to begin,
Where heart & soul can dance within.
With each new hue, a joy to find,
A masterpiece unfolds from the mind.

’new ideas, light, and exploration’

The Fall Equinox,

arriving this Sunday marks a beautiful moment of balance, where day and night are equal. It’s a time to reflect on the changing seasons, embrace the crisp air, and welcome the colors of Autumn. Our Dogwoods and Willow trees are very much turned that burnt umber hue. As nature shifts, it’s a reminder to find harmony in our own lives. Letting go of the old and making space for the new beginnings. I try to do this throughout the year, but what a good reminder to ourselves to do it. This time gives us the space to do so. Carve out a little bit of time to cook something that reminds you of the season. Light a candle that has a scent of whatever makes you feel good. Watch a classic movie and cuddle up with a cozy blanket! To me, I like to cook things from my garden. A roasted butternut squash and veggie soup with salad and bread comes to mind. A candle that smells of cinnamon, cloves and oranges gets me in a cozy movie. The movie we just watched that I would recommend if you have not seen is “The Dead Poets Society” with Robin Williams in it. It was so good and sweet and had me feel all the feels! The ending did make me a little sad because I do miss Robin Williams. His acting was always so wonderful!

This Month is flying by. Today, the Smoky Mountain News featured my article that is in their Smoky Mountain living magazine. A Full Page!!! 😍 I am feeling the gratitude for so much, always… even when some things are not going the way I thought or wanted. Isn’t that always the lesson?

I have taken time with my kids this summer, and I feel like I am a bit behind on some things when it comes to my Paint and Sip event business. One thing, I realized is my “Events” on Facebook were not showing up when you go to search for “events happening near me.” The more I researched, I was told that the Facebook algorithm only likes relevant content. So, what that means for me is all the time I spent creating the events in FB in January… over the months, they just kind of hid in the background of the void. I am a self taught marketing person. It takes me a lot of brain power to do this side of my business (although I think it’s fun sometimes). This week I am deleting and recreating FB events, crating this email campaign, and coming up with some new fun ideas to offer to you all. Hopefully they start to show up from now on on your FB feed! :-) If you see my events on FB, please “Like” them. That will help me know that they are being seen. - I little hidden gem- If you see my new event this month, click “Going” even if you cant make it, “like it and comment “Fun!” I will send you a code for 25% off an event for the relevant event. This is ONLY for the FB Algorithm STUFF! They say it has to be interacted with to be seen. … so many little things! :)

I hope you enjoyed this new little article thing I am going to try and do. Let me know in the comments! :)
With light and gratitude,
your paint instructor,
