Time Is Precious.

As time has passed I've let things in life come and go, but one thing I never give up on is my heart. I have learned through trial and error that if you don't listen to your heart nothing will change, for the good or bad.

I began working again when my little one was one and a half. I had this burning desire to be back out in the world talking to people and being social. Lately, I have felt the need to be with my little one more than ever before. I am missing his days as a baby. So... I gave my notice to my work, and my last day is next Friday, January 12th.

I pulled the trigger on leaving my job now because we have to be out of our rental by the 15th of January. The home we just purchased is not ready. Justin, my Life Lova, the milk to my cookies, the jelly to my peanut butter, cream to my coffee, snort to my laugh...
(sorry had to go there.. that is what I was saying to him this morning before I left the house) -----Anyways.. Justin  has been remodeling our new house since the day we closed on it (the week before Thanksgiving). He has been busting his butt to get it livable again. I had to figure out a way to store our stuff while he finished. So... I rented a POD for the first time ever. I never thought I would rent a POD. Ya know.. I've always seen PODS and have thought.. I wonder if one day I would EVER use one of those things. Well.. the day has come. I rented one. They are going to drop it off at our rental home. Now I can pack it all up, then they will transfer it to my new home so it can sit in the driveway until we can move in to the new house. We are going to stay in my family home until everything is ready, but now that I don't have to go to work every day I can watch Eldon while Justin finishes the house! ANOTHER awesome detail is... my mom is coming to town. NOW I will be able to help Justin with the new house and mom can help with Eldon. Did I mention our little ones name is Eldon. :) Eldon Maxwell Proffitt.

I have so much I want to do this year, and this time spent with Eldon and not have to be at work will really give me the time to do what I want. Justin will be working and going back to school. We will all be busy, but you know what... doing what you want to be doing at the times in your life when you need change is the best thing you can do with yourself, your heart, and your life. Time is so precious and if you are not doing what you want to be doing, then stop for a moment, assess, and think about how you are going to get where you want to be at that time in your life. Year by year, month by month, day by day.. we all know that this changes constantly, so why not be apart of that change instead of resisting it. It's bound to happen. Don't wait for opportunity. Create it.
